Many of you may have already noticed the physical changes to the exterior of our property as we have begun the waterproofing/renovation project that I wrote about in my last communication. I believe that this is both a time for physical change, and also a significant prophetic season of change for us as a church family.

We are blessed as a church to be a part of the larger Foursquare family. Being part of a larger denominational family can make it much easier for us to secure funds for a building project. That blessing along with numerous other grace touches from the Lord are enabling us to move quickly on this current project on our property. With that privilege and blessing comes the responsibility of stewardship and unity as we move forward. I would like to briefly explain to you the three phases of this project and the estimated costs involved.

Phase One – This phase has already begun and includes the demolition and removal of our driveway and parking lot, the adding of French drains, sump pumps and waterproofing materials to the outside of the church and new/upgraded concrete slab for the parking lot and driveway. We will also be adding handi-cap accessibility to the lower level of our church. The time frame to complete this project is 90 days. Budgeted cost: $250,000

Phase Two - Waterproofing and renovation of interior lower level. This phase includes excavating and waterproofing from the floor up to 4 feet of all walls, complete kitchen remodel, new carpet and tile in all classrooms, remodel of bathrooms, soundproofing the ceiling and painting of all rooms. Estimated start time would be in late fall/early winter. Budgeted cost: $125,000

Phase Three – Main level renovation and courtyard. This phase will include reconfiguration of office space, nursery, classrooms and lobby area. Bathrooms will be upgraded and made handi-cap accessible. New carpet, paint, tile to be included. Deck work and outside courtyard for community gatherings also included. Estimated start time, spring of 2008. Budgeted cost: $125,000
